Just fixed the problem as I stated above with a 3/4" I.D. hose splice. Now it has two hose clamps and plastic to rub against. Lets see what that frame has now. Covered back up agian too.

 

does anybody have pics to show the location better? Where does the line run to/from?

The top radiator hose as it runs from the top left corner of the radiator to the left side of the engine head as it goes into the themostat housing. Mine was rubed through as it went past the inner side of the frame.

 

Yeah PICS will be nice, eventhough I have
a good picture in mind as to I had to replace
my radiator several months ago.

my radiator hose wore through on a trail ride a year ago, I cut out about 8" of the rubber hose and did a nice bend job with copper pipe. It acts as a inline cooler and wont rub through again.

 

My 700 did the same thing, the best fix is to wrap heavy rubber around the frame, then you have rubber on hose rather than adding rubber to the hose and it still rubs on the frame. I have had this set up going for over 1500km now and no more problems.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I checked mine, I have a rubber protector on the frame. Came from the factory that way!

It is one of those spring "C-Channel" deals. Spring /clamping pressure is all that holds it on!

 

So thats where the extra weight comes from on the MV7!
