Anyone replace the upper radiator hose with one from an autoparts store? Mine has some wear from the frame. I was wondering if there is a part # other than from Polaris so i can get one from a local auto shop.

 

Well at least the MV (military version) has the extra protection so our troops are not stranded out some where with a coolant leak. Wish they would have added that mod to the newer ones, or is it on the 06 and 07 models? I haven't looked at mine yet.

 

the ends arent the same size, good luck on a substitute hose. Just graft in a peice of copper or something like an inline cool that is for a race quad.

 

My upper hose is worn through a little. It doesn't leak yet. I put RTV silicone on the worn spot and put a hose on the frame so it wont cut through. Should I replace the hose that had some wear? Will the silicone hold even with the pressure?(Hose has no leaks)

 

2003 700 upper radiator hose. Part # 5412030 Does that sound correct? $40 w/ shipping maybe I will just order one
