Trailblazer Brakes?

Make sure to bleed both front and rear at the rear.
My best guess is air gets in the system and works its way to the highest point and needs to be pushed all the way back out.
The problem is the rear brake master cyl is at the floor board height and the caliper is a little lower but the hose runs up to the frame area then back down to the caliper.

The front master cylinder is separate from the rear floor pedal master cylinder. The floor pedal will always lose pressure.
There are 2 bleeders on the rear caliper. Find the one that the pedal uses and bleed that one, not the hand brake.

Bleeding it 2-3 time won't do much, like I said before the air in the line is at the highest point and needs to be purged out if you stop and eat lunch then plan on finishing later the air will just bubble back up to the highest spot and you'll have to start over.
One thing that can help is to compress the rear end with a strap and then jack the rear end up so the caliper is the highest point but it could still take a while to get all the air out of the system.
Hope this helps
