I THINK my leak is at the hose connections, i hear people on here "tightening" the hose clamps on them... if they are the "clamp style" clamps how do you tighten them? or do you just replace them with plumber's hose clamps?
i think i'm setting a record for most posts during the hours of 11p-7a!!
thanks again,

IT just keeps raining and raining and raining....
the worst is over, few blown down branches, signs, and the flooding isnt too bad. had a couple of electrical burps but power has been constant, so we're the lucky ones!
i tore into it today and found a place in one of the hoses that had rubbed against a bolt head on the engine/trans and i didnt see an actual hole but it may be one of those that only leaks when there's enough pressure, because it sure was thin in that spot but i couldnt get it to leak when i blew air into it, yuck! took ALL the hoses off... might as well change them all if i'm going to change the main one.
i'm hoping that was the prob. I timed it and it started leaking after 9 min 38 sec of idling, so i'm guessing the coolant got good and hot and built up enough pressure to make it leak, even if its only a pinhole.
i'll let you know if its anything else!
