Got it on the carb work and clamp on.... I'm going to need to budget that in it looks like...

Yeah, I noticed the topic of speed isn't really something you guys talk about much. I guess for CA desert riding, when I'm not on one of the bikes, I'm still riding with other bikes that have a cruising speed of 60+ miles an hour and it's awful hard keeping the Predator up at those speeds without revving it out......

And you're right, I don't want to lose the little bottom end this thing has, so I'm kind of in a pickle on this thing when it comes to speed. Hmm....

Yeah........You should be able to pull 60 easily enough.......twist 'er tail.......she loves to rev!!! There are a few guys over there on that site, that ride/race in the desert.....if you posted over there, I'm sure they would chime in with what works for them.....

Yeah, those carb mods are great......you can get a new carb....but they are usually expensive(500 or more)......and can be hard to tune, and really hard on the thumb.

Will do brad.... yeah, I don't need to stress my thumb out anymore than necessary... I'll start posting there. I did a lot of reading there today about front end suspension. I had a set of Stadium front shocks, just about decked out, but ended up selling them after a ride. I think I miss having a nice front set of shocks too to soak up the whoops and the big hits.

pred85: Sounds yummy. Do you have a link to the threads that discuss the future group purchase? What other mods are required in order to make this kit run properly?

I believe its in the group purchase section(about a 1/3 way down).......ask your questions there about that kit....they know!

As for your shocks.......If you had the cash, the fox float shocks are pretty nice, so I've heard.
