NEED TO MAKE 2002 SCRAMBLER 400 FASTER
HEY GUYS,
I currently have a 2000 4x4 400 with hpd pipe, hpd silencer, hpd clutch kit and v force reed and spacer, and .040 weisco piston.
I just bought another scrambler last month.

Its a 2002 scrambler x, 400 4x4. The motor is all stock, but has a HPD trail pipe & FMF silencer, Boysen power reeds w/spacer, and HPD clutch kit w/ shift drum conversion (roller clutches). So it has basically the same mods as my other scrambler with the exception of the roller clutches. The bike seems quite a bit quicker off the line, but its still no rocket down the road.
I'd like to make this 2002 i just bought quite a bit faster. Right now it still has the stock piston, so I know I have to get a wiseco piston, so I was thinking about getting rick ritter to trailport the cylinder, and drill the cylinder for a girdle. I also have a hpd billet 12:1 head that I bought off ebay last month that I plan on putting on the bike. My question is this: will this make a huge difference on the bike, or am I just wasting my money. I don't really want to get the cylinder race ported, and I don't want to run race fuel, but I need to make this bike a lot faster. I was also thinking about getting rick to bore the carb out. I want to make this bike run with a predator, i don't expect to beat it, but on the trails I want to be right there. How the scrambler is right now, it just isn't going to do it. Anything else I can do to liven this bike up.
