Default never stops?

first off, hi as i'm new to the forms, but yet i'm now in trouble with my polaris, it's a 2001 polars 700 thats carberated and it now has a 2004 700 carberated motor in it, since we have installed the motor, when you stick it in gear all it does is want to go, meaning even in low with no gas being applied it rolls and takes all braking power to stop and it barely stops, so you see my problem, any help is appreciated

they have the same clutches so maybe the engine isnt lined up right. you need an alignment tool to line up the cluthes and the right spacing between them. make sure the idle isnt set too high.

we lowered the idle alot but it was never changed from the last motor to the newer one, this problem recently occured when the newer motor was installed, whats the correct distance between them and what does the alignment tool look like as i would like not to buy one but maybe fab one up if it's easy enough, thanks for your replies again and keep them coming

the alignment tool is basicly 2 steel bars welded together to create an off set. im not sure w/out doing some research on how much there is or what the center to center dis. would be between the clutches. what do you have for a belt in there? there should have been a 91(last 2 numbers) onthe 02' (which btw is yours as they didnt makethe 700 until 02') worse case call a dealer and ask them to give you those measurments.

well, thanks for the news on the 02 buisness and i will go an check the numbers on the belts, do you think that the distance form center to center would be in the manual? as i don't know where it is at the moment but i would look if you think it might be in there, i usally hate to ask for help on my stuff but this is a issue that we cant solve

if you have a shop manual it would be in there for sure. i may have the info on line but would take me a while to find it. you may even see the line up tool so you couls easly weld one up. its just 2 square stock steel running by one another to form the off set. i was thinking it was 5/8" but dont hold me to it as i think thats snow sled set up.
