Default 2006X2 Seat Problem

Hello, thanks for reading this post. I purchased a 2006 Polaris 500X2 last fall and rode it double quite a bit before winter set it. Got it out the other day and the passenger seat/back rest will not lock in a upright position it just leans forward. I know it would lock into position the last time we rode double. I checked for anything loose or maybe something down in there preventing it from locking. Any ideas out there? later, Alan

Default 2006X2 Seat Problem

I have the same problem, take off the little plastic cover, and there's a latch down in there. Make sure there's no dirt or anything in it. I have a problem after riding thru alot of thick brush that i'll get twigs and stuff in it and it wont latch. Probably wouldnt hurt to spray it with some wd-40 too. Also, just a heads up, watch the bearings on the back seat, if it pops out of the track take the seat completely off and put it back.
