Default 97 trailblazer

Hey, I just picked up a 97 trailblazer and it runs great. The only problem I have is that if I leave the fuel on and let it sit for a few hours it floods, but if I turn fuel off and leave it starts fine. Do all 2 strokes have to have the fuel turned off while not running? If not how do I fix it? I have already cleaned and blew out carb. Thanks Patrick

Stendori is right. It is a very easy fix.
