Well at least I'm not the only one with this problem. I would let Polaris know about our mutual problem, but I'm sure they wouldn't really give a crap as usual.

 

i tried to get my dealer to fix it under warranty but he said that the warranty does not cover plastic

 

I have a 2005 500HO, mine is broken on the right side.

 

Ya mine too. I just noticed mine on Sunday. I don't know how long it's been like that, but hopefully warrenty will cover it.

 

Mine's solid ever since I did the plastic modification below.

 

The dealer just called me back and they're gonna replace the rear fenders, and the side panal on the right side as the little "tit" that goes thru the fender melted to the heat shield on the pipe and then broke off. They also told me there is an updated heat shiels for the side panal.

Kinda. I had some issues with a snowmobile about 5 years ago. I ended up parking it on the door step for a night and then not dealing there for a few years. But now with a new owner and some differant staff it's getting better.
