well the reviews say they are very good. and a 525 engine is pretty big so it would probly put out a lot of tourque and hp. i have read that they are very good in the woods because they have a good chassis and suspension. so overall i think that from what i read in the reviews about the 525 outlaw it is really good for trail riding.

no they are actually using the ktm 525 motor, all in all great power. and they put the 500 motor in it the first year it came out. the only thing different about the 525 for maintenance is that it has 2 oil filters. not much different about them except there pretty much bulletproof.

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and I have yet to be beaten on it. Tons of power, awesome hook-up even with the less than prime tires it comes stock with. Its smooth. Its a wheelie machine. Jumps awesome. Its one of those quads you can go from the drags to the dunes to the trails and keep up with and beat everyone. Ive races trx450rs with internal mods, z400s, ds650, banshees, yfz 450 and 480s, 700s. It will pretty much eat up anything you throw at it. And about the more maintanence thing, when you buy high performance, what can you expect? KTM is high performance and bullet proof. Take extra care of it and it will take care of you for sure. The best part is I can ride for hours without a sore back, try that on a SRA! I highly recommend this quad to anyone looking for a good ride, tons of power and something different.
