I have a 2002 that when I switch it to 4 wheel drive it is not lighting up the AWD light and it is not in AWD. I just purchased this machine and it did origianlly work. Any suggestions on what I should look for?

Also, the speedometer lights up, but the speed needle doesn't always show the speed and you can not see the digital odometer. Any suggestions on this too?

What model sportsman is it? The 500 and 700 were different systems in 2002.

 

It is a sportsman 400. I have been reading other postings and it sounds like if the speedo isn't working correctly, that it can effect the AWD. Maybe this is my problem also?

 

Sounds like a good possibility. Stay tuned you'll get some help on here, but I'm not as familiar with the older system on the 02 400s.
