BIG FOOT KITS???

I assume you're still married so the *** chewing was probably well worth it! LOL!!!
The wreck is somewhat of a long story. We were in Arkansas, riding in the mountains and we were actually on the way back to camp after a long ride. So, the dumbass in me decided to open her up. The main roads where we were are all gravel except for where the roads cross the river and that is concrete over culverts (sp-???). So, as I'm going around every turn in the road, I'm fish-tailling. Well, this particular curve or turn had more concrete than most and it started in the middle of the turn. Well, of course, my tires grabbed and shot my bike to the left. Well, most mountain roads are "cut" out of the mountain which leaves embankments, if you will, on the side of the road. Well, I tried to slow it down but realized I wasn't going to be able to so I bailed off of the bike but it was a second too late. The front left tire hit the embankment, which caused the back end of the bike to come over. When it did, it hit me and threw me,ooohhh, about 20 feet through the wires of a barbed wire fence.
Without a doubt, GOD was with me that day, as I hope he is everyday. A barb cut me on the nose, right between my eyes, ripped out my left ear ring, and missed my juggular vein by about an inch. It's at least 45 minutes to town so chances are real good, I would have bled out before an ambulance could have gotten to me. Crazy enough, the damn hydrogen peroxide hurt worse than anything that happened that day!

Damn!! Glad your OK now. I got weak in the stomach just reading that. 2 weeks ago my daughter had a friend stay over night and the next morning I ran to town to get a paper and gas. when I got home both atv were gone. I freaked out and went looking for them. Then the cell phone rang and a little old lady said there was a atv accident down the rode. When I got there I found my daugher standing over her friend who was covered in blood and her eye lid was torn off along with cuts on her chin bone and her eye was the size off a soft ball. She had a helmet on and goggles. Without those she whould have been killed. She ran offf the road and hit a culvert and flipped threw the air 30 ft. Soon the Highway patrol and ambulance arrived and they called for a life flight and took her 100 miles away to St. louis. The hours seemed like days but after a talented plastic surgeon did his stuff and 2 weeks later shes back at school. The flight alone was $12,000. Thanks god I had insurance on the atv. They maxed it out and my homeowners coverd the rest. We all learned too much, too fast that day.

My goodness! Makes my ordeal sound like I jumped off of my bike and broke a finger nail! Thank GOD she is OK. It sucks that it takes stuff like that to open our eyes but it would be worse if we didn't learn our lesson. Thank goodness she is OK!!! Man oh man, that sounds brutal!

CamoKodiak, the wheels and tires look nice on there! I got mine put on last night and will post pictures today. The beauty of it all... A week from tomorrow I'll be leaving out to go on our Memorial Weekend ride in Mena, AR.
