I have a 98 Magnum 425 4x4. It has been a great quad and I have beat it pretty hard. It goes through mud, snow, and hills with the best of them. The chain maintenance is a pain, but not enough that I would consider getting rid of it. I put a Warn 2000 winch on it and a snow plow. I don't ride it too much this time of year. It has the plow on it and I have to lazy to take it off. I bought a storage box to put on it this summer for our extended rides. This has been a solid quad so far. The only part (besides brakes) that I have had to replace is the front sprocket that I broke myself. (Momentary lapse of reason). I have only got the belt to slip a few times. Always the result of hitting deep water holes way to fast. If I go in slower and then gun it, no problems. The splashing is the biggest problem. The biggest thing that impresses me about it is that it has been in the single digits here lately and it is in my unheated garage. I go out, choke it and hit the starter and she fires right up and purrs like a kitten. As for future mods, I plan on replacing the stock tires with Titan 589's in the near future. The stock Dunlaps don't hold up well in the terrain that we ride in and I already have one that has three plugs in the sidewall. Ride that Magnum hard. Later.
