2007 Polaris Hawkeye Opinions?
For 2007, did Polaris fix the carbeurator and A-Arm issues they had on the 2006 Hawkeyes? I'm thinking of getting one for my wife since she's 100 lbs. My friend has a 500 Sportsman which is very easy to steer compared to my Arctic Cat. Is the Hawkeye easy to steer and control (again, my wife is only 100 lbs). Any recommendations or comments appreciated. We ride hard trails, creeks, and mud (not deep mud bogging).

The stock tires are junk for mud or sand. And the rear suspension is still way stiff. You can soften the rear suspension by removing the sway bar, but that will negatively affect handling at higher speeds. I took mine off as I prefer each side to be able to react entirely independent of the other side. I replaced the stock tires with 24" Swamp Fox's, which do LOTS better in sand and mud. The steering is very light with these tires. Would I buy a Hawkeye again? Yes.

my wife said my hawkeye was too big for her (we had a china junk atv that sat alot lower) So I took her on some rocky trails and let her beat herself up a bit trying to control a low to the ground atv. When we came to a steep hill I made ride my hawkeye down (at this point she coulnt move 50 feet without getting the atv stuck on a rock). after about 20 min she felt right at home on the hawkeye so I suprised her the next week and bought her a new hawkeye also. They run great no probs with two 07's so far and we take them everyplace
oh btw it would take a city gang of 20 with guns to get her hawkeye from her now
