Default Rear brakes for the scrammy

About to change my rear pads for the 2nd time on the scrambler. Do I "have to" change the rotor too? I know it would be a good idea, but $90 for the rotor seemed steep. My original is in decent shape. Just the usual wear for a quad with about 500 miles on it. (some grooves and stuff). Yea, i do A LOT of mud riding too.
