Difference between 04 and 04.5

I just bought a 2004 Sportsman 500. I think it might be an 2004.5. How can I tell and what is the difference?

Difference between 04 and 04.5

Manufactering date is stamped on the hood. A call to your dealer with the date should answer your question.
