well between reg and synthetic will not hurt it but just make sure it is compatable with your quad, ie with an auto clutch do not use any with the a certain addative that makes the clutches slip.

Yea, I have experience the same errors on other threads too. I think
it still some bugs being worked out here on our forum with this whole
new overhaul. Question, is there any other place that needs checking
besides the OIL to see if water is in there? I thought I read somewhere
that you should check the belt/clutch housing and make sure it is drained
when going thru water?

Regards,

R'

yhea definetly check the belt/clutch housing for water as well, and both the front and rear diffs.

Not an awnser to your question, but if your looking to save some money, just buy some decent over the counter Oil, or even better than OEM some Mobil 1 0w-40.

Oil Filters

Pure One PL-14610 is probably better than the OEM one at 1/2 the price and a cheap but good filter for situations like this that will also work for a replacement is found at Walmart ST 7317 or ST 6607

Or Mobil 1 m1-110

I use the Pure One in my machine and several various cycles the last couple years.

just to get the water out i would use cheap oil and the filter will hold the water so it has to be changed as well. you can tell by looking at the oil as it wont be milky anymore or a brownish color when it finally cleans up.

This is a good thread, I have learned alot and now know what
to look for on my end too..8) For the front and rear diffs, I am
assuming the fluid on there to check?

yhea check the fluid and see if there is any water contamination. What happens is when you have been riding it and get the diff hot and then go into water that is over the vent tube, it cools off the diff and when that happens then it sucks in water through the tube.
