I'm thinking about buying the new Polaris Diamond Plated Rear cargo box. I would like to know if any body out there is currently using one, and how it is compared to the standard plastic boxes. Does it seal up to keep the weather out. Does the lock mechanism work, are the hinges adaquate? Any help would be greatly apprieacted.

Glad to hear you are happy with your purchase. If possible I would really like to see some pictures of your quad with the new box!

Thanks,

Triston

Yeah, gdr, I'd like to see some pics and hear more about how it performs in inclimate weather...and when Ed McMann shows up, I'll get one, too!!

I’ll bet that diamond plate really looks sharp on that silver SP!

I have had the Diamond Box for about 1 week now and about 175 miles of snow and mud ridding. The seal that it make keeps all of the gunk out, and even the pressure washers at the car washes doesnt get it. The lock works just like it is intended to. All in all Im very pleased with this purchase. I thought the price was a little high until you actually get it mounted and see the top notch quality, (the same or better than pickups boxes. Ill try and get some pictures taken this weekend and posted.
