New Pictures of my quad!!
i won the bars off of Ebay, they're fly aero tapered bars
1 1/8 inch, they are soo strong! i rolled my quad completely over last fall and they didnt bend
as for putting them on, they were originally for a dirtbike....
I used my stock bar clamp along with the 1 1/8 bar clamp that came with the bars
I stacked the 2 stock bar clamps ontop of each other upside down acting like a bar riser, then there was a small curve on the 1 1/8 clamps on the bottom of the clamp (I dont know why it was there but it saved me when installing them). I set the 1 and 1/8 inch clamp in with the metal curve on the bottom right in the stock bar clamps and it fit just right.
I still used the stock screw's when i mounted them, the screw's that came with the 1 1/8 bar clamps werent long enough and the stock ones worked just fine, then I bolted it all down and there you have it

thanks for the reply and pictures i appreciate you taking the time to do that. looks a bit burly but you said you rolled it last year and they didn't bend so I imagine the setup is strong and don't have to worry about the bars/clamps coming loose. do the bars sit any higher than stock after this mod because the scrammy bars already sit kinda high? nice setup though. couldn't you just mount the bars to the stock stem without doing all that?

no i couldnt because of those little rounded edges that are on the 1 1/8 clamp
they sit like alittle bit higher i think, but they're not that agressive of a bend. i like them a ton! when i ride other scramblers i cant stand the bars, the fly bar's are alittle narrower too
and as for the strength they definently are strong but they're stronger then my stem i think lol
i broke the mounting plate off my steering stem last fall... i had it welded back up and it's been good since but i think i need to have that welded up and reinforced b4 it breaks up again!

Hot Seat Performance is the only company i know of that makes nerfs specially for scramblers/sports/trailblazers
i'd like to put nerfs on my quad..but i might be getting a raptor 700 this year yet and i dont wanna hack off my floorboards incase i wanna sell this thing
i've been told it's tricky to put nerfs on 4x4 models of the scrambler because of the front prop shaft that runs to the 4x4 shafts in the front of the quad
basically no matter what u have to cut off your floorboards and the nerfs will require quite a bit of work to install...i think most guys use banshee nerfs and weld them on..
i dont know how to weld and dont feel like it's all that necessary..i have floorboards, they'll work, nerfs would be nice, but it's not a necesity!
