2007 Sporty 800 Deluxe Problems
#1
Is anyone out there having problems with the 2007 Sporty 800 Deluxe. I have over $11k invested in this machine and it is a lemon. I have done 3 Trips to Hurley Wisconsin with this bike and it has been towed back to the cabin on all three of them. At 180 miles she blew the water pump and seal. At 250 miles she ate a belt. At 450 miles something broke in the engine and they need to pull the whole engine to fix it. This is the most unreliable bike I have ever owned and have to travel with a spare just so I can keep riding. When you drive 6.5 hours to go riding, it stinks when you can't rely on your brand new equipment. I called Polaris about it yesterday and it will be interesting to see what they do about it. I will post my results with them when they contact me.
If anyone is having similar problems, please post and let me know what is going on with your bike. Have a great day.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I just purchase a new 800 about three months ago and it is running flawlessly. Not one problem. It has been out in the desert and up in the Sierra's and running good.

Was contacted by Polaris after I opened a case file on the machine. Can't say that I was overly pleased with their initial response. I am losing my family vacation this week cuz my machine is down so we are staying in Illinois and boating. Lost cash on cancelling my cabin and Polaris was just like, "Oh well. Don't think we can do much for you at this point. We'll look into it in due time." Last year when my Yamaha was down with problems and the dealer couldn't come up with parts Yamaha was all over the situation and even popped for a rental machine for me. There may be a grizzly on my trailer in the future in the spot where the Popo 800 is supposed to be. In hindsight, I never had much luck with their sleds either. Kind of sad when a manufacturer doesn't take care of thier customers.

Remember the old saying, "the squeeky wheel always gets the grease." I feel for you pain, but sometimes bothering them enough will get the matter fixed. Hope things work out.

Still no resolution from Polaris. If they drag their feet much longer the bike will be out of warranty. Then the next trip I go on and the machine takes a dump, I won't be covered anymore. This will make a good topic of discussion at my next club meeting.

i dont blame you for being pissed. my veiw is that if you had a good dealer who actually gave a sh#t about his customers then he would help you out in some way. its too bad to have a bitter taste in your mouth from this, but sounds like no one could blame you. if i was in that boat i would trade it for another as well but it still would a poaris as 1 bad one doesnt make them all gunk. good luck w/ it and let us know.

Thats terrible Mud Hog. I like Stendori, have never had a problem with my 800 and it has been abused far beyond normal use. I have used it to grade my road, haul wood...etc. She just grins with the punishment. I just cleared 700 miles. I do need to take her in for service though. Got the flashing wrench.
