Default manual start

I have a 06 polaris sportsman when my battery die the last weekend I used the pull start. After pulling it out once the cord stayed out. The only way to get it back in was when I jumped it and get it started. The more gas I gave it and held the cord it went in. Has anyone had that problem? I hate to take it to the dealer!!

its most likely full of dirt and rust maybe. just take the starter recoil off to clean it out and maybe lube it.

I will try that and see if that works. Is there any special tools needed?

I never did use my pull start on my 450's yet!!!!........I guess it would be nice to know if they work in the driveway rather then out on the trail somewhere!!!!....LOL...LOL.......Caper......
