Quick help needed.....How do you remove valve stems?
#1
Ok, I am in the middle of my winter project of taking off my wheels to have them plated as I asked before.
I made a nice quick little bead breaker this morning that worked good. I simply made a 2x4 lever and used a "crowbar" on the head to go down and break it.
Ok..now that I have the tires off the wheels, how do those valve stems come out or off?
Need to know cause I'm shipping em out on Tuesday
Oh also, would chrome ones from an auto parts store fit by chance or the tire shop have them or do I need to order from polaris or somewhere?
Thanks

I agree. Pull them over to one side, and cut on the tight side. Then replace them. The cost a dollar per, and are a pain to get out otherwise.
To install on, you need one of the 4 in 1 valve stem tools. You can get one at any auto parts store. They cost less than 5 dollars, and are good to have around in cast you need to replace the vale core, or have a broken valve core. They have the tap end, die end, extractor end, and the valve core removal end.
