Default Rolled the sportsman over.

Well, I admit it, THAT WAS STUPID. I was going up over a hill I've gone over many times, it drops off fairly steep on the left down about 6 ft. I got too close and over it went. I jumped off and watched it roll over once, stand up on it's *** end and come down flat on the handlebars and headlight pod with a horrendous crash. Careless I know.
DAMAGE- Winch switch, left controls, headlight assembly, bent handlebars, glass busted out of guage, bent steering post, lower headlight tray. I think that's all.
So how much of a hastle is it to change the steering post? This is my biggest concern, everything else should be easy enough. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Here is a website where you can get parts that are essentially new. Polaris parts Don't know too much about the steering post though.

no big deal.................theres the main steering post nut at the bottom of the post. then theres a few other minor ones near the upper frame and then theres the ones holding the handle bars into place. its takes time. its easy to do.

Thanks guys. I started taking it apart last night and realized it wont be all that difficult. Thanks for the link. Now all I need to do is get the parts and I'll be good to go. I'll try to keep it upright this time.

i'd be surprised if the steering post was bent (Maybe the flange at the top) b/c it is a very thick tube. what did you find out?

I've been away a while.

It's bent. That was a lot of weight coming down on it and the handle bars make a pretty good lever for bending. It's all easily fixed though whenever i get around to it.
