BOTTOM END ON SCRAMBLER 400 SOUNDS EXCESSIVELY LOUD
#11
well, glad all of you reply to this forum so quickly! haha
my stock piston is gone. its been replaced already. brand new wiseco piston. i'll tell you what, the wiseco piston is impressive looking, nice construction and machining on it, alot heavier construction than the cast piston. almost a shame to stick it in the engine where you can't see it!
guess what???? the ticking sound is still there. so, i wouldn't worry about it a helll of alot. everything in mine is tight. the cylinder looked good, the piston looked good, no play in the crank bearing, or the wrist pin bearing. although i do feel alot safer knowing the wiseco is in it now. it was something i was going to do sooner or later anyhow.
