Theres a dude local who's selling a brand new polaris speedo for a 95 or so he says. He sayd its needs the piece that works it from the trans mission. Is there such an item or is full of it? If hes right on, how/where do you install it into the case/trans?

Ragged_ol_86 how much does he want for it ? I don't own a polaris ATV and never have ; but i have a relative and a freind's or two who own polaris's and they used to put down my ride's and other's who ride and own other brand's ! The relative is usally just trying to get my goat and maybe the other's more or less do this for the same reason , but just diidn't want to admit that their quad's had just as much servicing and mainttence as all the other's did ; but i have seen a few l post's on the cost of a new pod for polaris and other brand's ; i won't name them all to keep from being called a brand basher ! The price's ranged from 7 to 8 hundred dollar's just for the new pod , this price range was for the LED display type's that didn' thave seperate analog and machanical one's as well ; and i've read post's about sencor's that go the transmission and the differencial ! So without more information and a manual it would be hard for someone who doesn't know more info about polaris quad's, there are some with sencor's that control's the AWD ; and send the signal to the speedo and more ! But don't just take my word for it check with a Tech who work''s at a dealership or for someone else will jump in here that can be more help than i can for sure ! ..................................................

 

it cant be a newer style since they run off a wheel sensor and not the tranny. there about $300. and up i do beleave and the newer ones control the awd. as far as i can tell there was never a speedo on the 95 trail boss. i wouldnt buy it and expect it to work on your bike. just my .02

 

He wanted 10 bux for it. It was a manual with the cable. Nothin fancy just a round speedo with handlebar clamp. It was in a polaris bag and he said it said it was for a boss/blazer/scrambler. I posted local but I meant Ebay.Thanks
