1997 polaris trail blazer wont start
#1
I need help.I just got my motor back from being rebuilt and put in into the quad and tried to start it but it will not start. The only thing different is that i installed the oil block off kit which shouldnt cause this.I checked spark and it looks healthy i poured a little fuel in the motor but it doesnt even attempt to start. The only thing i did notice is that after trying to start it i took the air cleaner off and there was some fuel laying in the area where the carb attaches to the air cleaner box.Does this mean that the reeds are letting fuel into the motor? After trying to start it i pulled the plug and it doesnt seem fouled. So now i am out of guesses.Anyone ever have this similar problem ? thanks for the help

this must a tb 400? plenty of compression and the crank vents are all clear. so the plug isnt getting any gas? did you try putting some gas in the plug hole just to fire it up?

This is a 250 .I tried putting fuel directly into the plug hole and it still wont fire.To me this doesnt make sense if i putting fuel into the cylinder and it has spark it should fire.Any ideas?we are supposed to go sunday and the boy now has nothing to ride.

if its a 250 then it doesnt have reeds. if the plug is firing and it has compression and not too much crank presure, and it fires at the right time(meaning the timing is correct then yes it would fire right up on gas you poured in.
