Sportsman 500! What year was HO introduced?

Guys I am gonna buy a sportsman 500 and want a 500HO. What year models did they come with the ho? 2001??? And were can verify year model on 4wheeler to make sure?

yep i do beleave it was 01 and they had them say ho pn the decals. you can looh at the mfg date on the tag if you can find it or the serial number.

Sportsman 500! What year was HO introduced?

There were a few 2000s that were HOs. I think it was half way through the year.
I do not know of any way to tell if it is an HO and non-HO without looking at the side graphics.
