Yes, please post part number here. I have had the same problem and solved it as melk54 described.</end quote></div>

What year do you have? Not sure it matters but I don't want to give the wrong info.

Default polaris 500efi electrical problem

Hey guys i have a 06 500 efi. Where abouts should I be looking for this connector. Is it on the drivers side? I haven't had to many problems so far just a noisey fan and a little antifreeze leak that I can't find yet.

It's on the top of the "carburator". Think it's a air control sensor.

I have 2007 Polaris 500 EFI X2

Default polaris 500efi electrical problem

I had a similar problem on my 07 500X2. We were riding and all of a sudden it started missing, backfiring, and then stopped. It started again and then backfired every time I'd let off the throttle. It would cut in and out but I kept riding it for four days. I got home and checked everything. I found a loose ground from the battery. It was causing the ignition to cut in and out and screwing up the fuel injection.

I went down to my polaris dealer. He is also a Harley dealer so those pins was very regular as I understood. Think he says something about chevrolet used those in they plugs.

They was on a strip with pins on.

When you change these you need to remove the plastic cover in front of the plug, Now you will see a plastic tag(need light to see). Take a small thin object and bend this plastic tag and push out the pin.</end quote></div>

Melk, where is your Dealer located?
