hey,
i was riding my 96 scrambler 400 4x4 on flat land pretty fast. hit a rock, popped the tire, bent the rim a bit and ever since then the 4wd on that one side of the front wont engage. the half shaft spins when engaged but the hub doesnt grab , i replaced the wires going to it and all the internals and still no luck any help would be appreciated.

I have heard of some people getting grease inside the mechanism where it should not be. Causes the clutch to slip on that particular wheel. Might try that, but it is just a guess. Also, may have broken a winding in the hub clutch. That would cause the clutch not to engage. You could check that by unplugging the clutch wires, and checking them for resistance on the clutch half with a volt meter. Maybe this is some help.
