Hi all, I was out riding this weekened, and as i rounded a corner my quad just died, it was almost like someone had hit the kill switch. ipulled my plug checked it on the frame and no spark,so we played with the coil and that didn't help, but some how i got zapped from the plug wire, but only once. Is this my coil?

 

i don't want you to think i am being a smart butt or anything but did you happen to accidentally hit the key and turn it off? on my sportsman i used to have a key chain on it and it would catch and cut the ignition off. other than that, i don't know right off hand. what kind of wheeler, year, make, etc... is it still running or what? need more info

 

take all things hanging on key off. just use key alone. whatever u got extra on key is hitting gas tank cap and shutting it off. everyone has had same problem. Its key and nothing else

 

if you had the plug grounded and its a good wire you shouldnt have got zapped. maybe wire is getting bad as well. is it running now, whats the bike?
