1st SP 500 oil change - Probs priming oil pump
No special tool here for me.....I just took a wooden clothes pin apart and black taped each one to the end of vice-grips................This kept the rubber hose protected and provided enough pressure to hold back the built-up pressure...............Caper............

I did the same thing the first time I changed my oil and pinched the top line but not the vent, I haven't had any trouble and have changed oil a few times since with no metal shavings so I'd say don't worry you problably primed it by pinching the other line anyway. Now for you first timers, there are three lines on the tank and the vent line is easy to find if you reach inside the tire from the front and feel the top of the oil tank you will find line then slide finger down and you will feel vent(slit) clip the line behind slit and in front of nipple(you can feel it also). Removing the screened fitting is no problem but you problably can't find the tread sealant( at least in Arkansas) so just use PTFE sealant tape. The plug in the crank case is easy to get out but really really hard to get back in unless you have long skinny fingers that will fit through the slot in skid plate. I personaly cannot put the plug in and have to get a neighbor with longer fingers to do it. Other than the crankcase plug its not to bad, Goodluck...
