i put my stockers back on(took them off the wifes 450) and just kind of went up and down the pavement a little and what a differnce in wheelies goes. if anyone doesnt think this extra weight/bigger tires doesnt hinder the take off is saddly mistaken. i havent even put my dalton spring in yet. good thing or i would go over backwarsds lol. hopefully i'll get to opened it up today for a speed run.

Just wondering, but if you put larger tires than stock on an automobile, the speedometer will read slower than the vehicle's actual speed (assuming the stock set-up is dead accurate). Can the same be said for ATVs? If so, then your 63 mph reading with 27" tires could be close to an actual speed of 67 mph.

Friend of mine with a 660 grizzly had 26" swamp Witches with the big 1-1/4'' lugs and the ATV rode rough. He went back to 25" Mud lites and now the ATV rides smoother over the rough and is quicker and faster, but those big tires did look good though. The one 26" rear tire alone weight almost as much as his 25"Mudlite with the rim!

that is a true statement sheepdog. i'm sure that the bigger tires show a slower speed as did my pickup when i had bigger tires put on it so i had them recalibrate the speedo for the differnce. now the 67 was on a trail as the 63 was on a road so i know it would be a little faster if i could hold it on a road and not to mention it only has 138 miles on it so its still breaking in lol. oh and its quicker as wel w/ the stockers.

Must steer easier as well with lighter front wheels to turn with your handle bars?

tlc, you really only notice it when going slow thru the tough stuff or from a dead stop trying to turn as you start. the biggest thing is i only had 3 lbs in them so it was wicked spongy. now w/ 6 1/2 lbs it would steer alot easier as well.
