Bought a very used 700, wanted one for working around my place. Well the speedometer doesn't work so no 4x4.I searched here and found the brown white/ wire fix. Did that and the light on the AWD lit up but still no 4wd. Whats next? Also when I took it to be serviced was told that I needed the front diferential rebuilt, had that done along w/ some other stuff cost me $500. Guy at the shop told me the 4wd worked. Just want to get this thing going, should I buy the speedometer.
Thanks

Do you have a voltmeter? If so see if there is voltage runnig to the front gearcase. If there is, it's still in the front gearcase. If there isn't, you have an electrical problem.
I haven't read the thread about the brown white wire fix, but from the posts I've read on this forum so far makes me think it's a probably valid fix. Got a link to that thread?

cant remeber is the 02' model prior roller cage front end or is it still the hubs? just wondering if the roller cage broke as well in the front end or if the hubs had the issue.</end quote></div>
According to the parts diagram the awd is in the front gearcase and not the hubs.
