Default Trail Blazer questions

Hi, new to ATV connections. Just bought a 2000 Trail Blazer for my kids. I noticed some play in the lower steering connector/bushing. I assumed it was due to the large nut being loose, but tightened it up and no change. It appears that there are two rivets that hold the cam in place and a bushing is mounted in the cam, but the rivets are not tight and that lets it have a little play in the steering. Anyone seen this?

Also, what spark plug(s) do I need for spare?

Thanks

One of Polaris' great ideas. You need to replace the steering stem bushing. I highly recommend calling Rick at Ritter Cycle and getting the HPD (I think that's the brand) replacement. Made of aluminum instead of plastic like the OEM part.

You'll have to drill (or dremmel) out the existing rivets.

For spare plugs, I just got an extra NGK for ours.

common, i replaced mine with the HPD block.

HPD lower steering post block. PART # SPB . LIST $29.95

It was fairly easy and the HSP instructions were good

http://www.hotseatperformance....%20Support%20Block.doc

only they left out needing to drill out the mounting holes a little (.250", 1/4"), because the bolts that hold it are larger a diameter than the rivets Polaris used.
This can be done with a small air type drill and a short 1/4" drill bit.
