winch for a
This is what I just bought. I thought about figuring out inside the bumper, but I figure thats blocking to much airflow and I remember my sport (got scrambler now) would start to get hot as it was. Not the prettiest, but pretty cheap and it works.

ScramblerXrated has a great setup that I stole for mine, but I think there is only space for a Warn 1500. But for 90% of where I got stuck it was plenty of winch. It is conceled and very tidy. If you think you need a 3.0 for a Scrambler you'll pull the bike apart if you get really stuck, and without a low range you're in too deep!! [img][/img]</end quote></div>
it called a sportsman 500 4x4 trans/gearbox and shifter stuff!

I installed a winch on my 2002 Scrambler 500 4x4. I have not had to use it unless in really deep mud that I knew better than to get into. I had an aftermarket DG bumper on mine and opted to put the factory bumper back on and purchase a mounting plate off Ebay. I installed the factory bumper and mounting plate with the winch. I then took my aftermarket bumper and cut it up. I flipped it upside down and secured it using 4 hose clamps. It gives a little more protection than just having your winch stick out there in the front.
