Default Picked up a 92 trailboss 350 4x4

I picked up a new bike today, I have to be honest its in rough shape. It needs an airbox, a seat and some TLC. Also the guy that had it was a little bit of a ummm DUMBA$$ the old ownder poured trani fluid into the oil resavoir and and ran the bike without water/coolant and said he rode it until it stopped running. Well like I said its another project but the 88 trailboss is built and back to perfect to now is another PROJECT.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Hey I thought I would ask, my friend
has an 05' Trail Boss, and its a nice
machine I must say! He gets thru alot
of MUD but is interested in it performing
a little better.

He just has the stock tires on it. Would having
Mudlites or something like that on it really increase
its performance in the MUD? This is a 2WD!
Another poster said some time ago he just
runs rear Mudlites and kept the front stock.
He also weighed down the back with some
weighted plates but said he can just about pull
himself thru pretty much everything (Mudwize).

Comments, suggestions?

Thansk,

to tell u the truth I have Mudlites on my newly rebuilt t-boss the 1988 and It hasn't hit the mud yet, So i really cannot say but now on the other hand my uncle won't have any thing but mudlites,.. he swears by them. As far as your buddy and wanting to make a beast out of a 2wd I mean yeah when we go you will see 2wd's having just as much fun but when it really comes down to it....its still a 2wd and 4wd is the only way. Don't let me sound discouraging because I mean i have been known to borrow my friends Yamaha 450 to go mudding just because My 88 t-boss wasn't finished yet but all in all you can have fun with just about anything but IMO I think 2wd is alot of work. But Honestly YES if you put Mudlites on the rear of a 2wd quad, it will indeed go thru some pretty serious stuff with of course Work. But what fun is mudding anyway if you just crawl through anything and everything, getting stuck is part of the fun, lol.
