I am getting a 2000 # Warn for my Explorer and need alittle help. I have the factory double tube bumper with the square plate in between to mount the rollerhead. Question is- what mounting kit do I need or will the winch bolt right up and into the space behind the tubes? Also, will the stock battery be sufficent to power the winch? Thanks Pete

I dont know about the bumper, but the battery i think will survive ok, as long as the radiator, lights, or any other things are going when u start to pull with the winch, i also think that it helps alot if u charge the battery very well, before installing the winch

the winch mount that you should need is polaris part no.#2872337.i think you can get just the mount or you can get the whole kit which has the warn 2000lb winch included. i hope this helps you out.

I ordered my winch mount bracket from cabellas. I have the same bumper that you have. The roller fairlead doesn't fit very snug on the bumper but it still works. Your battery will hold up when you are winching yourself out if you give it about half throttle. Otherwise it'll run the batttery down quick and you'll have to pullstart it. You will definetely not regret buying the winch when you get stuck. They work great.
