tire update
#1
tire which i tried to plug and it leaked like there was no plug in it. took it off the rim to find a 5/8" rip on the inside wall where i hit a damn railroad spike. so i had a friend of mine put one of those big patches w/ a stem on that you core out the tire and pull it thru from the insed out and it seems to worked well. didnt see him do it but looks like a great job. we'll see if it last thru the wintert and holds air.

Those patches that install from the inside that have the stem on them work great. I had a buddies tire that had 2 holes close together, and I drilled a hole in between them and put the patch in. It covered both holes and is still going to this day. That was about a year and a half ago so you should be safe.

another thing you can do is to add the green slime, I sealed up 2 tires that were so old they were cracking and leaking around the bead, It sealed them up within 2 miles and they havent leaked a pound of air since last year.

yea i've used slime alot and swear by it my self. the only bad thing about slime is what a MESS when you take the tire off.

well another update w/ that f#$*%ing tire of mine. yep you guessed it went to take out the wheeler and its flat(yea i know only on the bottom) and the good plug is leaking. guess next spring its slime time. just a note that the orignal slime(brand name) works way better then the walmart(or other) brands by far. and bill is right in my case when ive used the good stuff it never leaked again.
