yellow and silver....... is my mind going crazy?

In my 2001 polaris catalog it says you can get colored body panel kits for gen IV, and gen III polaris quads. According to my knowledge, the scrmbler is a gen III. It says I can change the color of my scrambler to either yellow or silver. Is this a typing mistake or are they serious? Has anyone bought one of these kits? If so how does it look?

No, your not going looney. You can buy the kits. I have seen a picture of a yellow scrambler, and it looked good. Basically like the old Sport color, but with very nice graphics.
I have not seen the silver yet, but it looks just like the 2001 Magnum plastic color.

I used to have the yellow Sport, it was a great bike. I didn't like the yellow at first, but then I loved it. Wish I could afford yellow plastic for my Explorer. This is the same bike as the Scrambler, they look exactly a like.

Yep, all the Scramblers and the Trail Blazer are Gen 3, so the plastic will fit any of them.
The machines that have the plastic like the new Xplorer 400, Sportsman, Magnum, ect, are considered Gen 4.
The machines like the Trail Boss, and Xplorer 4x4 (250 model) are Gen 2.
And for those that remember what the very early Trail Boss and Cyclones looked like, that was Gen 1.
