I have to agree/disagree! I don't think the law should tell you what to do, but most people don't have the common sense to do the right thing! A 1 up atv is not safe or designed for 2 people. The 2 ups have longer floor boards for your feet and longer seat for your rear and stiffer springs for the extra weight.
I think someone should just knock the idiots off their atv and take it. They wouldn't ride double again! I know there is nothing wrong with dad taking his 1 year old sitting on the handle bars doing a wheelly at 70 mph on his Renegade! WOOHOO

Whyy do you think the Ranger has a roll cage and eat belts and carries the recomendation that all passengers and driver wear helmets. The people that financed my machine also required that I carry lliability ins as well as PD & PL coverage, all this on a machine that has a hard cab. You had better believe I`m not planning on going anywhere where they require a registration.

Also, anyone under 16 has to wear a helmet. That's a law I can live with.</end quote></div>

not every body has to wear one?

i am 17, and i know how guys and quads mix.. they should be mandatory until you are 21... we all did stupid things when we were my age...

dont let your teenager run without a helmet... he will be doing jumps and wheelies... it's a way of life...

Helmet law!!!!.............How can one put a price on their own head??

I don't need a law to tell me that I must protect me head!!!

All provinces in Canada require a helmet for riding except British Columbia!!

I can't believe some States you don't need a helmet!!!...Ask anybody that works in the E.R. dept.!!!
..........Caper.................

Sometimes, Shorse, we just keep making mistakes. I'm 66 and theres a few I haven't made YET!!!

And about helmets, "If you've got a $10 dollar head, wear a $10 dollar helmet"

I hit my noggin pretty good a few years back. I ALWAYS wear a lid now even just playing in the yard. Helmet laws are one of the things I agree with 100%
