Thank you all for the responses,, gonna leave it alone and just chain it up and go with a 60" blade instead of the 48" I have now. Thanx again,,,Ted

Try it without chains first, I think you'll be impressed.

I agree, I don't think chains are needed. I added a little extra weight to the back of my 700, about 210lbs but I was able to push about 22" of wet snow without much trouble. I have more trouble with my blade breaking over than I do with getting traction.
