compress the rear suspension (sit on it and hold it with a tie-down or something) so it takes some slack out of the chain.. loosen the axle bolts, insert the punch and push it forward... you want the chain to be kinda "over tight" at this point because when you release the suspension back to normal it will loosen the chain a little.... with the chain properly adjusted there will be roughly 1/4-1/2" play up and down... make sure you properly torque the axle bolts so all of your work was for nothing.... my little brother (who is not so little) adjusted the chain on our old trailboss and didnt tighten the bolts enough... went up this gravel pit hill and the chain came off and thrashed the trans case... not cool!!!

You may need to pull the eccentrics out of the center and the front and clean them real good.May seem like a lot of wok but it pays off.
I jack the rear end up loosen the center eccentric and use my foot to turn the wheels which ever way it needs to go.On the front jack the front up loosen the bolt take the chain cover off(throw it away) use a wooden rod or handle and tap it with a hammer to get the setting right.
