Thanks.I will check it a little closer. My son was riding it and pulled up to get me and it was running fine.We sat and talked a while, got ready to leave and it would not do anything. The lights in the dash would'nt even come on.I cranked it with pull rope and drove it home.Started with key switch then left side switch and started looking for short. That is when I seen the lr60 had burnt also.Beats anything I've ever seen.

Just wanted to let everyone know what caused the melt down.
A dirt dobber had built a nest on the oil cooler fan,the fan could not turn therefore it fried and shorted itself out. There are no fuses to keep from burning up everything else. When I put it back together I put an inline fuse on the fan.
Ignition switch, left side on/off/start switch,lr-60 and fan motor. All because of a dirt dobber. Thanks for the reply ftwflh and keep that old blue 425.I have still got one and they dont make that good anymore.

hey glad its up and going. that goes to show that it doesnt take much to screw a bike upand lead to a real pain and expensive fix. just like the radaitor fans can be stopped w/ a little mud/stick or rock to keep an eye on all on them.
