Default hand and thumb warmer

Got a set of PURE handwarmers and a thumbwarmer for my 06 700 twin. Any suggestions when going to install these? The only upgrade I can see happening is an illuminated switch to visually see if they are on or off. The post toggle switch looks a little cheap...

Happy Holidays...

Installed mine in about an hour! Yes the switches are going to get changed to a illuminated switch... I fired up the air compressor and popped the grips off!!!!

Is it a good idea to wire both the grips and thumb on the same switch or should they be seperated?

Seperate! you'll probally run grips on low and thumb warmer on high.

Last question... I promise....

Where is the best place to mount the switches. I would like them easily accessable but not in the way that I would accidentally hit them.

Do I need to buy new grips? or can I reuse the factory one. I see someone posted a reply about using an aircompressor to pop the old ones off???

thanks

I used the air to get them off so I could reuse the grips... I mounted the switches, one on each side of the spedo.. they are out of the way there for me! It's the best upgrade I did so far!!!!!

using the blow gun, stick it in one side of the handbars, you need to cover the other side with your hand/finger and one or both should pop off. I ended up shoving a rag into the side the grip came off to help seal it to get the other one off. I used the air to reinstall the grips all the way back on!
