I am about 1/2 through a CV boot replacement on the front of my 07 Ranger XP 700. Question... Does the CV joint come off the outboard axle end or do I have to dismantle the inner boot to get the axle off and install the outer boot from the inboard side of the axle? I've read where there may be a C clip on the outboard side but I cannot see one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

assuming there the same as most sportsmans they are clipped on. it be just as easy to pull the whole cv joint as it should just snap out of the front end. easier to work on that way.

 

I've changed boots on my Sportsman too and the CV joint is different I belive.
