Default Trail Boss 325 Won't Idle??

I have a 2000 Trail Boss 325. I purchased it about 2 weeks ago. It idled perfect up till now. I took all the plastic off and cleaned it real good and replaced the outer tie-rod ends on both sides. I tried to start it today and it seems to run OK choked but when you idle it down it quits. I was wandering if the contacts in the throttle had something to do with it? Seems like as soon as those contacts touch it quits? I didn't get a manual with the quad and the shop manual I ordered won't be in for a week. Any insight would be GREAT!!

Check the throttle cable up by the handle bars. There is a connector there that will adjust the throttle. There is also one under the plastic on the left side of the quad. You may have bumped it and just need to adjust it. Hopefully that's it. Otherwise, I'd say look at the needle in the carb.

Thanks for the response!!
I forgot the golden rule of Forums, "use the SEARCH, STUPID", once I did that I figured out that I engaged my mouth before my brain. I did a search and found a couple ideas. I went down and checked the throttle cable and guess what?? When I took the plastic off, the throttle cable sprung out free in the air and that gave it enough slack to close the "ETC" switch. I held the cable down where it should be and it opened the switch slightly. So, once I put the plastic back on everything will be OK.
Thanks again for the response, Greg
