Polaris Angle Drive Fluid?
Well I was looking through my Polaris Factory Service Manual (too much time off work over the break)..Anyway I have both listed in the chart under Gearcase/Transmission Lubricants........................................ .But in the proceedure It tells me to use Polaris Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid Part # 2871654 CAP=(5.0 oz.(150ml)......Which I use!!
But my question here is Where is the Polaris Angle drive fluid used and in what year/models...Did they change in 2005?........I looked through manual and didn't see anywhere that this was listed.......Was this used right at the hubs?(wheels) Before the center Gearcase was used!!....If so why is this listed in my 2005/2006 service manual?.........Thanks........Caper.........

Angle drive fluid was for the front diffs on the bikes that engaged in the wheel hubs. It is 80W90 gear lube from what I've read. It's listed in my 07 somewhere as well.</end quote></div>
It's listed in your 07 owners manual or Service manual?
I thought you never had a Service manual.

Polaris Angle Drive Fluid?
Just read something else now in my Owners Manual!!...Not Service manual like above,
Rear gearcase for the Sportsman 700 (2006) it says to use the Angle Drive Fluid (or GL5--80-90 weight gear lube)........My service manual does not cover the Sportsman 700 for 2006 ........Confused yet?.....LOL....................Caper............. ...

Polaris Angle Drive Fluid?
older models
front hubs = premium hub fluid
front gearcase= angle drive fluid
trans= AGL
rear gearcase=AGL
newer models
no front hubs
front gearcase without ADC= premium hub fluid or new LT fluid
front gearcase with ADC= LT fluid only
trans= AGL
rear gearcase= AGL
simple??
I read some oil posts on other forums about all the confusion, a 4wd pick up takes 4-5 differant oils! not counting brake,power steering, ADC fluid etc........
Front diff
engine
trans
transfer
rear diff
I only need 3 oils for my X2
