I took the clutch cover off. Started it and watched the clutch work while reving the engine. Everything looks good, higher the revs the belt rides up the sheeves. but at idle the clutch dont slide apart enough to allow the belt to slip so it will go in gear and set still while at idle in gear. It has just enough tension to keep the transmission running. At the end of the clutch i have about 1.5 inches of the shaft showing. If it would just slide back maybe another 1/2 inch it would allow the belt to slip. And make be able to go in gear.

yea the clutch is suposed to be flish in the front so something isn't happy push on it it will go in if you need to role the belt off and push the clutch on hte engine in and let is sprint out do that over and over again maby there is some rust or corosion somewere just do that and sdd if eveything looks ok pull on it a lil to pull it out. it should move fearily easily. se if that helps at all
