Default Shutter in drive line

I have a 1997 Explorer 500 that has developed a shutter in its drive. Better said is the belt is slapping around after I take off. It only does it once after takeoff then goes away untill you stop and go again. I have replaced both clutches and the belt but it still has the shutter after take off. Any Ideas?

Maybe put it up on stands & run with with clutch cover off & see if can't zero in on it.

sounds like it might be in the tranny if you have replaced belt and clutches.

How about motor mounts? Check them over.

ditto on checking the alignment! I had a bad low-end shudder on my sons TrailBoss. I had rebuilt the tranny and forgot to replace the shims behind the secondary clutch when re-assembling the ATV. I just got thru with putting the shims back on and the shudder is gone! (belt still slips like crazy, but that is about to be replaced))

Thanks for all replies, First it is not an ebs clutch, I have had the belt cover off and you can see that at a certain point when increasing rpms it seems as though there is slack in the belt because it jumps around alot. It is a new belt purchased from my polaris dealer so I assume it is the right one, but my old belt was doing the same thing before I changed it. You may be on to something with the motor mount bolts, I will check them next. This is the reason I changed the clutches and belt because it developed this shutter, but it still is doing the same thing so I will keep trying till I find the problem. Thanks DRY
